BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 500,000 turned into ashes after a jute depot caught fire in Lakhantari VDC of Morang district on Saturday.

The jute godown in the house belonging to Kedar Prasad Sah of Lakhantari-6 had caught fire, informed the East Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.

Paddy and jute stored in the godown were destroyed in the fire.

The fire was doused by the midnight yesterday.
