Property worth Rs 6 lakh gutted in Taplejung house fire
BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 600,000 was gutted in a house fire in Taplejung district on Thursday afternoon.
The fire had started from a solar panel after a mobile phone was connected to it for charging in the house belonging to Ojahang Limbu of Phakumba VDC-8 in the district, said police.
The fire was doused with the help of locals and police within an hour, said police.
In a separate incident, a shop belonging to Suraj Yadav in Tankisinuwari VDC-1 of Morang district suddenly caught fire at around 3:30 pm on Thursday.
Junk items worth Rs 50,000 was gutted in the fire, said police.
The fire was contained with the help of local police and a fire brigade at around 4 pm yesterday, police in Morang district informed.
