Floods, landslides hit Pyuthan; five bodies found
PYUTHAN: At least five persons died in floods and landslides in Pyuthan district on Tuesday following torrential rainfall.
Floods in the Jhimruk River deposited two bodies near an under construction building in Bijubar, and one near Bagdula Bridge, according to police. Likewise, locals said they saw two bodies floating in the Jhimruk River dam at Ramdi.
Incessant rainfall since Monday evening triggered landslides at several places and caused floods rivers, including Jhimruk River, throwing normal life out of gear.
Landslides at several places obstructed the vehicular movement.
More casualties are suspected.

According to police, many settlements in the district pose threat from landslides.
The floods swept away several structures of local micro hydropower project at Arkha VDC and Rajawar.
