UML Lawmaker 'abuses' Bara District Judge
BIRGUNJ: CPN-UML lawmaker Najma Khatun on Wednesday reportedly mistreated the Bara District Court Judge Bhojraj Sharma, expressing her dissatisfaction over one of his verdicts.
Khatun was irked by the Court verdict to send Ram Chandra Pyasi Kushwaha for 10 years jail terms, convict of murdering her husband Mohammad Alam.
Khatun apparently had wished that Kushwaha got the life imprisonment.
Alam, who was the UML candidate during the 2013 Constituent Assembly elections, was shot dead in Lipanimal VDC of the district on October 4, 2013.

No sooner had Sharma issued the sentence than Khatun's supporters started chanting slogans against him.
Consequently, he had to rush to his cabin after the angry mob approached him with slogans and mistreated him.
A police team under the command of DSP Binod Sharma was deployed to take situation under the control.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker said she would appeal for review on the verdict at the concerned Appellate Court.
Meanwhile, other convicts of the case Indian nationals Bipin Yadav aka Mohamad Fawad, Atik Khan and Raju Shrivastav were sentenced to 10 years in jail.
Similarly, another murder suspect, also an Indian national, Ravi Pandey aka Rajesh Mishra was sentenced to 21 years behind the bars.
