DADELDHURA: A ward member died after being swept away by the Puturu River at Parasuram Municipality in Dadeldhura on Sunday night, said police.

Narab Bahadur Dhami (45) of Parasuram Municipality-6 was swept away at 8:30 pm while returning home from Jogbudha Bazaar yesterday, said police.

He was wading across the river when the incident took place. His body was recovered one km away from the river on Monday morning, said Jogbudha Area Police Office said.
