BANEPA: A youth has been shot dead in a forest in Kashikhanda Municipality of Kavrepalanchok district today.

Pratish Tamang (20) of the same municipality died on the spot after being shot at from the point blank range, police Inspector at the District Police Office, Bidur Kumar Thapa, said.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Arun Tamang of the same locality on the charge of killing Pratish. The two were reportedly together last night.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
