Army beat Chandrapur, close gap with APF

Tribhuvan Army Football Club defeated Chandrapur Municipality 6-1 in the Women's National League here at the ANFA Complex grounds today.
Rashmi Ghising netted four goals alone and Bimala Chaudhary scored a brace for the departmental side, while Rajani Thokar scored consolation goal for Chandrapur.
With the win, TAFC accumulated 25 points from 10 matches and remained at second spot, two behind unbeaten leaders Nepal APF Club. Chandrapur are at the sixth position with six points in the seven-team table.
Ghising opened the scoring in the 10th minute and doubled the tally in the 22nd minute. Chaudhary made it 3-0 in the 23rd minute before Thokar reduced the margin with a goal in the first half injury time. Ghising completed her hat-trick and restored the lead in the 50th minute before Chaudhary netted her second goal of the match six minutes later. Ghising scored her fourth individual goal in the 61st minute as TAFC recorded a comfortable victory.
APF, who have not conceded a single goal on their way to registering nine consecutive wins in the tournament, will play against fellow departmental side Nepal Police Club on Monday, while Waling Municipality will take on Biratnagar Metropolitan City in the day's another match.
Waling are third ahead of NPC on head-to-head basis after being tied on 14 points, while Biratnagar are at the fifth position with 13 points.
