87 new Covid-19 cases registered on Wednesday; nationwide tally hits 274,381

Nepal on Wednesday reported 87 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,381.
Of the newly infected, 35 are females and 52 are males.
Likewise, 62 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 270,605 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 766.
The total nationwide death-toll has advanced to 3,010, today, with one person succumbing to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, but with 233 fatalities reported through the revised data of various authorities involved in managing Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
According to the health ministry, 3,399 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,173,511 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 59 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Tuesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 274,294 with 78 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 115 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 91 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
