Nepal on Thursday reported 107 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,488.

Of the newly infected, 37 are females and 70 are males.

Of the total 107 new cases in the country, Kathmandu district reported 46 infections while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur registered two and one infections respectively.

Likewise, 78 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 270,683 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection.

The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 795.

The total nationwide death-toll remains at 3,010 with zero Covid-19 related fatality in the past 24 hours.

According to the health ministry, 5,536 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,179,047 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 57 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Wednesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 274,381 with 87 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 115 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 91 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
