KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 25

Nepal on Thursday reported 112 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 273,872.

Of the newly infected, 52 are females and 60 are males.

Likewise, 84 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.

As of today, 270,223 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.7 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 882.

The nationwide death-toll reaches 2,767 today.

According to the health ministry, 3,411 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,153,636 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 66 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Wednesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 273,760 with 94 newly confirmed cases.​​​​

Globally, over 113 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.Likewise, over 88 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
