Nepal on Friday reported 120 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,608.

Of the newly infected, 51 are females and 69 are males.

Among the new cases, Kathmandu district has reported 46 infections while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur registered five and seven infections, respectively.

Likewise, 83 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 270,766 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 832.

The total nationwide death-toll from the contagion stands at 3,010 with zero Covid-19 related fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.

According to the health ministry, 6,143 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,185,190 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 58 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Thursday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 274,488 with 107 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 116 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 91 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
