Dr Jageshwar Gautam removed from Covid-19 Unified Hospital

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 02

Chief Administrative Officer at the COVID-19 Unified Hospital, Dr Jageshwar Gautam has been removed from his post, today.

He was relived from the post by the Ministry of Health and Population and has now been transferred to the Maternity and Gynecology Hospital based in Thapathali.

He was appointed to the post by erstwhile KP Sharma Oli government in May.

Health workers at Bir Hospital have been protesting for a while over irregularities at the hospital, demanding reform in the system.

Meanwhile, Dr Rudra Marasini of Trauma centre has been brought in Dr Gautam's place.

Dr Gautam had previously also served as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
