Active caseload stands at 37599 as death toll reaches 10663

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 756,492 on Friday with 1,577 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 708,230 with 2,337 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,663 with 25 more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 13,117 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 8,752 were PCR tests while 4,365 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,877,469 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 488 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,065.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 93.6%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 37,599 against 38,384 a day before.
So far, a total of 9,116,287 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 5,063,522 have received the first dose while only 4,052,765 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Currently, there are 337 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
In the same time frame, 454 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 169 and 92 cases respectively.
On Thursday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 754,915 with 2,052 people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 215 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.4 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 192 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
