Nepal records 569 fresh COVID cases, 11 fatalities on Tuesday

Nepal recorded 569 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 810,298, while the death toll climbed to 11,372 with 11 fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 788,630 with 622 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 12,020 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,771 were PCR tests while 2,249 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,386,567 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 97 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 666.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.3 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 10,296.
Currently, there are 217 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal had recorded 673 coronavirus cases while 13 had succumbed to the disease during the same period.
