Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 798,766 on Tuesday with 762 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 771,138 with 1,114 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,180 with six more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 16,042 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 11,582 were PCR tests while 4,460 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,245,638 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 206 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 968.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.6 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 16,248.
Currently, there are 237 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 798.004 with 812 more people testing positive for the infection.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 231 cases in the country while Jhapa is second in line with 69 cases today.
So far, a total of 14,322,751people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 7,913,555 have received the first dose while only 6,409,196 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 236 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.8 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 213 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
