Westerly low pressure system likely to affect weather till next few days

Westerly low pressure system is likely to influence the weather throughout the country till next few days.
Meteorological Forecasting Division in its regular bulletin shared that the weather throughout the country will remain cloudy with light to moderate rain and thunder and lightning/gusty winds/ hail in many places, chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and light to moderate snowfall at many places of the high mountaineous region, today.
This weather will persist till the night hours at many places of Province 1, Madesh Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and few places of Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim Province.
Cold is likely to further increase due to winter rains. The Division has urged one and all to take precautions against adverse weather.
Many places has already witnessed snowfall that persisted since Thursday.
Presently, light to moderate snowfall is taking place at many places of the high-hills and the mountainous region, including elevated places inside the Kathmandu Valley.
On Saturday, there will be partly to generally cloudy in the Province 1, Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province while it will be partially cloudy in remaining provinces. Light snowfall has been forecast at few places of the high-hills of the eastern and central parts of the country and the mountainous region.
This western disturbance is expected to cause rain till Saturday morning and subsequently clear on Sunday.
