Bara local election update: Results of remaining three among four local levels public

The election results of the remaining three local levels among the four have now been made public.
Earlier, the results of 12 local levels had been announced while vote count was ongoing in another four, the counting proceedings have now concluded in three of which.
The local level election results of Mahagadhimai municipality, Aadarsh Kotwal and Bargadhi rural municipalities have now been announced.
In Mahagadhimai municipality, Nepali Congress candidates have bagged the post of both mayor and deputy mayor.
Upendra Prasad Yadav has been elected as the mayor of the municipality for a second term while Tara Devi Kanu will be seated at the post of deputy mayor.
Yadav was favoured by 8,670 voters followed by Janata Samajbadi Party's Rambabu Prasad Yadav who garnered 7,376 votes.
The now-elected deputy mayor Tara Devi Kanu with 7,997 votes defeated CPN-UML's candidate Pushpanjali Devi who received 7,010 votes.
In the same manner, in Aadarsh Kotwal rural municipality, Nepali Congress cadres have won as both mayor and deputy mayor.
Jawahar Prasad and Meera Devi have won as mayor and deputy mayor of the local level, respectively.
Jawahar Prasad with 4,089 weighed heavier against CPN-UML opponent Mustafa Ansari who received 2,837 votes.
Meera Devi, the now-elected deputy mayor, was able to please 3,375 voters with which she successfully surpassed CPN-UML'S Mati Devi Yadav who collected 2,626 votes.
Lastly, in Baragadhi rural municipality Loktantrik Samajwadi Party representatives have claimed both the posts of mayor and deputy mayor.
Ashok Kumar Jaiswal will hold office as the mayor while Laxmi Devi Rai has been elected as the deputy mayor.
Brijkishore Prasad of CPN-UML, who received 3,042 votes was overshadowed by Ashok Jaiswal with 5,426 votes.
In the same manner, Laxmi Devi scaled higher with 4,366 votes against Kalauti Tharuni, who was deemed fit by 3,621 voters.
With these new developments, results of the 15 local levels among the 16 in the district have now been announced.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that results of Pacharauta municipality could be announced by today night, in which Loktantrik Samajbadi Party maintains lead.
