KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 02

The obstructed Palpa-Butwal roadway under the Siddhartha Highway has resumed vehicular movement this afternoon, allowing one-way traffic.

Continuous rains caused landslips at Hieudekhola of Tinau Rural Municipality-5 in Palpa district, disrupting the traffic since Thursday, according to the District Police Office, Palpa.

Earlier, the road had one-way traffic briefly with the construction of a diversion. But, incessant rains blocked the road again. The situation has been risky as landslide is occurring, said the police.

Following the clearance of obstruction, stuck traffics commuting between Butwal, Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Gulmi, Syangja and Palpa have headed to their respective destinations.
