The final rites of a person are performed after s/he dies. Once the last rites are conducted, nobody imagines, even in dream, that the deceased will come alive.

A male aged 46 from Lamgaun of Khaptadchheddaha Rural Municipality has returned home after 19 years.

Jit Bahadur Raut had gone missing from home 19 years ago. His family members and locals searched for the missing Raut in Nepal and various cities of India. After his whereabouts were not found for a long time, family members had conducted final rites for Raut.

Raut's wife Surja Raut has been receiving both social security allowance and single woman's allowance. Surja said they had registered her husband's death after they could not find him. 'I am more than glad after my dead husband's return,' said Surja adding 'I felt it was a dream'.
