NC likely to get 88 seats in HoR, UML 78

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress is set to become the party with the highest number of seats in the House of Representatives.

With counting in 162 out of 165 constituencies over, the Nepali Congress has 55 first-past-the-post seats and it is likely to get 32 seats through proportional representation.

It was leading in one constituency till 8:00pm today. The main opposition CPN-UML is set to become the second largest party in the HoR, with 44 FPTP parliamentary seats. It is likely to get 34 seats under PR system.
