LALITPUR: The All Nepal Football Association and Nepal Sports and Event Management Pvt Ltd on Tuesday signed an eight-year agreement for the Nepal Super League.

ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and NSEM President Ashrayata Karki Chaudhary exchanged the memorandum of understanding.

As per the joint statement, NSEM would provide ANFA with Rs 170.21 million over the period of eight years for the sole right to organise the NSL. NSEM President Karki Chaudhary also handed over a cheque to Rs 10.5 million to ANFA General Secretary Rai as the first installment.

The NSEM organised the NSL in 2020, while the second edition of the tournament was postponed after protests from various 'A' division clubs over the signing of their players.

The new leadership of ANFA revoked the agreement with NSEM and assigned General Secretary Rai to initiate fresh contract.
