Gold surges by Rs 500 per tola, silver up Rs 20 in domestic market

The price of gold saw a notable surge, on the domestic market this Sunday, climbing by Rs 500 per tola, while silver also experienced an uptick of Rs 20 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FeNeGoSiDA), fine gold is currently being traded at Rs 117,600 per tola, marking an increase from Friday's rate of Rs 117,100 per tola.
The trajectory of gold prices has been fluctuating since the beginning of the Falgun month, initially declining by Rs 1,500 per tola within the first two days. After stabilizing on Thursday, the price saw a significant rise of Rs 600 per tola on Friday, a momentum that carried through to Sunday.
Similarly, tejabi gold is now valued at Rs 117,050 per tola, compared to Friday's rate of Rs 116,550 per tola.
Meanwhile, the price of silver, which has been steadily climbing over recent days, continued its upward trend with a Rs 20 per tola increase on Sunday, reaching Rs 1,430 per tola as opposed to Friday's rate of Rs 1,410 per tola.
Notably, silver had seen a rise of Rs 35 per tola on Friday.
