KATHMANDU, MAY 15

National cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been acquitted by the Patan High Court.

The bench, comprising Justices Sudarshandev Bhatt and Anju Upreti, overturned the decision of the District Court which had found him guilty in a case of rape.

Earlier, Lamichhane had been convicted by the District Court of Kathmandu in the rape case and was sentenced to eight years imprisonment along with a fine.
