Bishwa Subedi, a tourism expert at Bharatpur metropolitan city, attributed the increase in tourist numbers to the national and international publicity of Chitwan Visit Year. He mentioned that various events such as religious programmes, the Devghatdham festival, jungle safari mart, and a marathon are being organized to attract foreign tourists. The newly opened Diyalo Bangla has also become a new tourism destination, further boosting tourist numbers during Chitwan Visit Year.
