Weather Update: Partial clouds, light snowfall, and fair skies across country

KATHMANDU, MARCH 9

Nepal is experiencing varied weather conditions due to the partial influence of a western low-pressure system, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

This afternoon, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will see partial cloud cover, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly fair skies.

Light snowfall is likely in one or two areas of the high hills and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, most of the country will have mainly fair weather, except for Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces and the hilly regions of other provinces, where partly cloudy conditions are expected.

In Kathmandu Valley, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy with a chance of rain this afternoon. By night, the valley will experience partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions.

As per the MFD, the maximum temperature in the valley today will range between 22°C and 24°C, while the minimum temperature at night will drop to 9°C to 11°C.
