Most of the country to experience mainly fair weather today

KATHMANDU, MARCH 14

The country remains under the influence of western and local winds, with most regions expected to experience mainly fair weather today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

This morning, the hilly regions saw partly to generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country enjoyed clear to partly cloudy conditions. The weather is expected to remain mostly fair throughout the day across the plains and lowlands.

In the next 24 hours, Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, along with the hilly regions, will see partly to generally cloudy skies, with light rain and thundershowers likely at one or two locations. Additionally, light snowfall is expected in some areas of the high hills and mountainous regions.

For Kathmandu Valley, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mainly fair, with maximum temperatures ranging from 25-27°C. Tonight, the skies will remain mainly clear, with temperatures dropping to 9-11°C.

Meanwhile, Jomsom is expected to have partly cloudy skies with brief rain and thundershowers, with a predicted rainfall of 20mm. Pokhara is likely to receive 20mm of rain today and 10mm tonight, while Jumla is expected to experience 20mm of rain tonight. Similarly, Dipayal is forecasted to receive 10mm of rain during the night.

The MFD has urged people to take necessary precautions as weather changes may impact daily life, transportation, health, and flight operations in some areas.
