Lalitpur unveils Rs 7.47 billion budget for FY 2025/26

KATHMANDU, JUNE 25

Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has presented a budget of Rs 7.47 billion for the fiscal year 2025/26.

Deputy Mayor Manjali Shakya Bajracharya tabled the income and expenditure estimates during the municipal assembly on Tuesday. The budget allocates Rs 2.96 billion for current expenditure and Rs 4.50 billion for capital projects.

LMC aims to raise Rs 3.71 billion through internal revenue.

The budget prioritizes good governance, heritage and cultural preservation, sustainable infrastructure, environmental protection, a self-reliant economy, quality education, clean drinking water, health, social development, and youth employment.
