NEPSE gains 21.76 points on Monday; Daily Turnover at Rs 16 billion

KATHMANDU, JULY 21
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward momentum on Monday, gaining 21.76 points (0.75%) to close at 2,892.72 points.
All major indices closed in the green. The Float Index rose by 0.89%, and the Sensitive Index, which reflects performance of Class 'A' companies, increased by 0.81%.
Among sectors, Microfinance led with a 1.93% gain, followed by 'Others' at 1.84%, Development Banks at 1.42%, and Non-Life Insurance at 1.27%.
The day saw robust market activity with a total turnover of Rs 16.327 billion. A total of 311 companies were traded in 138,828 transactions, involving shares worth Rs 16.33 billion.
Out of the traded stocks, 153 gained, 96 declined, while Green Development Bank Ltd. (GRDBL) and Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd. (SAPDBL) hit the 10% lower circuit limit.
With this continued rally, the total market capitalization reached Rs 4.826 trillion by the end of the session.
