KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 17
Traffic along the Narayangadh–Muglin road resumed at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday after overnight landslides blocked sections of the route at Ghoptebhir, Tui Khola, and Namsikhola in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality.
According to police, three excavators were deployed from 6 a.m. to clear debris. Vehicles stranded overnight have now moved toward their destinations.
The highway was first blocked around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday and briefly reopened before fresh slides caused another closure, according to Inspector Pratik Singh of the Muglin Area Police. Crews used additional loaders and excavators to restore passage.
