8K Expeditions sees 21 climbers summit Manaslu on Friday

A 21-member team from 8K Expeditions reached the summit of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m) on Friday morning. The group included 10 Chinese climbers, one Iranian climber, and 10 Nepali Sherpa guides.
This follows a summit on Thursday, September 25, by nine other climbers from various international expeditions, bringing the two-day total to 30 successful ascents.
Today's summiters included Chinese climbers-Li Bo, Wu Zhaolong, Li Jian, Zhang Xuchai, Zhao Meilin, Yang Jun, Li Lili, Tian Yungui, Cai Peilin, and Wang Xing-along with Iranian climber Kambiz Bolouri and Nepali Sherpas: Dawa Tenzi, Pasang Gyalje, Ngima Thindu, Dawa Sherpa, Mingma D, Dawa Tenjen, Dawa Nurbu, Ming Dawa, Phurba, and Tashi Sherpa.
Meanwhile, Zolbookhuu Ombo (Mongolia), Tamara Claire LH and Wesley Om Marks (UK), and Maria Kinash (Moldova), Nepali Sherpas Dawa Ongju, Tsering Pemba (IFMGA), Ang Pasang, Pemba Dorchee, and Pasa Rinji summited on Thrusday, the 8K Expedition said.
According to 8K Expeditions' Managing Director, Lakpa Sherpa, all climbers from Friday's push are descending safely.
Another summit push from the expedition is planned for tonight, he added.
'After months of dedication, preparation, and pushing through harsh weather, technical terrain, and the relentless challenges of high altitude, our climbers and Sherpa team proudly stood on the top.' Lakpa Sherpa said in his facebook post after the successfull summit of the team.
The autumn season on Manaslu continues with multiple expeditions, including those from other operators, active on the mountain.
