Warsaw, the capital city of Poland is located on the Vistula River, in east-central Poland. The mixture of architectural styles reflects the turbulent history of the city and country. Warsaw's palaces, churches and mansions display a richness of colour and architectural details. Happening Nightlife Due to its increasing selection of vibrant clubs and bars, each with its own unique style, Warsaw has established itself as one of Europe’s top nightlife destinations. Opera Club located in the basement of the National Opera has a space for lounging, a sushi bar for snacks and a dance floor which hosts popular DJs every weekend. Platinum Club a trendy nightclub favoured among tourists and local show-biz is also one of the most expensive bars in Warsaw and door selection is very strict. Klinika, a trendy music club, another popular bar Regeneracja are other interesting clubs that you can head to. Edgy art galleries With various independent galleries and art spaces in Warsaw’s fast-growing art scene, the beautiful art galleries will appease you. Galeria Grafiki i Plakatu is a small gallery which stores the best selection of original prints and graphic art in Poland. Another gallery that will win your soul is Galeria Foksal, their events involve older artists with an established position in the history of art, such as Zbigniew Gostomski, Koji Kamoji, Maria Stangret among others. If you are a lover of contemporary European art then Raster Gallery is a place that you must be in. Other attractions Apart from the Warsaw Old Town quarter, reconstructed after World War II, each borough has something to offer. Among the most notable landmarks of the Old Town are the Royal Castle, King Sigismund's Column, Market Square, and the Barbican. Warsaw's oldest public park, the Saxon Garden, and the biggest public park — Lazienki Park is a must visit.The Powazki Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Europe.
