You don’t have to waste money on mousepad from now on. It can be easily made out of recycled items like cardboard pieces and old cloth bags. Cloth bags come in various colours, so mix and match any two colours, decorate it and own a designer mousepad. You will need
- Two cloth bags (in two different colours)
- A piece of cardboard
- Ruler
- Pen or marker
- A pair of scissors
- Find a piece of cardboard from any old box or cereal box.
- Decide the size of mousepad you want, then measure and cut the cardboard.
- First take one of the cloth bags which you want to put on the front. Lay the cloth bag on a flat surface. Trace the cardboard on cloth bag and mark the outline, an inch larger than the cardboard using ruler and a pen. Cut out the marked outline.
- Take another cloth bag. Trace the outline to the size of the cardboard. Cut two pieces of same size of the cardboard. You will now have three cut-out pieces from cloth bags.
- Apply glue liberally all over the surface of cardboard, cover both front and back sides of cardboard with two equal sized cloth pieces. Let the glue dry completely.
- Now take larger cloth piece and place the cardboard in the middle. Fold and glue each side on the cardboard.
- After glueing all four sides on to the cardboard, press the cardboard with aheavy book until the glue dries. If you find it difficult to glue the sides, you may use the tape to secure it in place.
- Turn over and place your mouse on it. If you want a little stylish mousepad, you may use leftover pieces of cloth bags and make designs of your own. And the mousepad is ready for use
