Makawanpur man drowns in Phewa Lake while swimming

KATHMANDU: A man drowned in the Phewa Lake in Pokhara while swimming, on Sunday. Binod Magar (35) from Manohari-4 of Makawanpur district fell into the Lake while swimming today, police said. After receiving a report of the incident, Baidam-based Ward Police Post and Armed Police Force Battalion had mobilised a joint team in his search and rescue. After recovering the body, police are looking into the case. The victim was residing in Damside, Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City-17 as a tenant. Phewa is one of the most significant attractions for domestic and foreign tourists visiting Pokhara, a popular tourist destination of the nation.
