KATHMANDU: The national players of different sports financially helped Madhu Nepali associated with Lawn Tennis for his medical treatment here at the Dasharath Stadium on Tuesday. National Taekwondo player Manita Shahi took the initiative to collect fund for Nepali’s treatment. National players of Karate, Boxing, Athletics, Judo, Badminton, Football and Wushu collected Rs 55,770 for Nepali’s treatment. Players off to Russia KATHMANDU: A five-member Swimming team on Tuesday flew to Russia to participate in the 16th FINA World Swimming Championship slated for July 30-August 8 in Kazan city. Players Shirish Gurung, Sophia Shah, Kiran Karki will represent Nepal in the championship, while coach Ishwor Karki and manager Bashu Dev Niraula accompanied the players. Gurung will compete in 50m and 100m freestyle, while Shah will battle in 50m and 200m freestyle and Karki will represent in 50m and 100m breaststroke. Gaurika Singh will also join in the championship in 100m freestyle and backstroke. Ktm City fourth KATHMANDU: Kathmandu City futsal finished fourth in the International City Futsal Invitational Tournament held in Guangzhou on July 23.
