KATHMANDU: Nepal swimming sensation Gaurika Singh bettered her own record in 100m freestyle during the 16th FINA World Championship in Kazan, Russia on Thursday. Singh, who bettered her own record in 100m backstroke on Monday, bettered her 100m freestyle record by 68 digits. Singh completed the distance in 1 minute 3.23 seconds, while she had completed the distance in 1 minute 3.91 during the 20th National Open Swimming Championship. Singh finished the event in 81st position off 90 participants.
