KATHMANDU: An unidentified group pelted stones and broke glasses of the building that houses the office of Annapurna Post, a Nepali vernacular daily, at Tinkune of the Capital on Wednesday evening. Nobody was hurt in the incident. The motive behind the attack was not known. Photo Courtesy: Annapurna Post Following the attack, Nepal Press Union (NPU) has issued a statement urging the government and security personnel to investigate the matter and take strict action against the culprit. The need to deploy security for Nagrik following the threats of further vandalism is very sad, NPU expressed. The vandalism could have been an attack on press freedom, NPU said. NPU has urged all Nagrik along with all media houses to raise their voice against these types of actions.
