PYUTHAN: Lightning on Wednesday evening killed two women in Khung VDC of Pyuthan district. The deceased have been identified as Basanta Giri (28) and Shakuntala BK (38). They were hit by the thunderbolt while degraining maizes at the house of Giri's parents, according to police. BK was a neighbour of Giri's parents. Both had breathed their last on the spot, according to local Barun Dwaj Malla. Malla said no other person was injured in the incident.
