Lalitpur, August 27 All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) today announced the national team for the international friendly match against India slated  for August 31 in Pune. The 25-member final squad was picked up from among the 30 players who were in camp for last two weeks. Five players — Jitendra Karki, Ranjan Bista, Aditya Chaudhary, Hemanta Thapa Magar and Shyam Nepali — could not make the cut. Head coach Dhruba KC and Hari Khadka are looking after the team. The squad comprises three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and seven forwards. Four players — Anjan Bista, Bishwash Shrestha, Ananta Tamang, and Bimal Gharti Magar — are from the U-19 team that has entered the first SAFF U-19 Championship final. Six players each from Ruslan Three Star Club and Nepal Police Club are included in the national squad, while four each from Tribhuwan Army Club and Manang Marshyangdi Club made the cut. APF’s Anjan Bista, Far-western’s Ananta Tamang and Jagadamba Lumbini FC’s Bishwash Shrestha are also included in the squad. Sagar Thapa will lead the squad that includes Sandip Rai, Rohit Chand, Biraj Maharjan, Rabin Shrestha, Jagjeet Shrestha, Bhola Nath Silwal, Sushil KC, Raju Tamang, Bikram Lama, Bishal Rai, Anil Gurung, Jumanu Rai, Bharat Khawas, Bharat Shah, Nawayug Shrestha, Bikram Lama, Ajit Bhandari, Ritesh Thapa, Bikesh Kuthu and Kiran Limbu. Team manager Ramesh Rayamajhi and Physio Suraj Bhusal will also accompany the players to Pune.
