Succor for kin of APF men killed in Tikapur

KATHMANDU: Kin of two employees of the Armed Police Force who were among eight cops killed in the line of duty in Tikapur, Kailali have received financial assistance. According to the APF, immediate family of senior head constable Lalit Bahadur Saud and head constable Ram Bihari Tharu received Rs 100,000 each from the APF Welfare Service Centre. DSP Ajay Chhatkuli said they were provided with the financial assistance through APF Ugratara Batallion, Kailali and APF Border Security Office, Bardiya. Similarly, APF Family Women’s Association has decided to provide scholarship and residential facility to one children each of the deceased APF employees up to Grade XII. The APF also gave Rs 50,000 to assistant head constable Netra Bahadur Saud for the death of his one-and-a-half-year old son Tek Bahadur Saud during the clash with demonstrators two weeks ago. Earlier, they had been provided with Rs 30,000 each for the final rites of their deceased relatives.
