DAMAULI: A man presenting himself to be a military man swindled a Pulsar motorcycle and Rs 100,000 from the main intersection in Damauli of Tanahun district on Tuesday morning. The man identified himself as Kamal  Gurung of Bhujung Khola in Kaski, a  Nepal Army staffer of a brigade in Chapaghat. Gurung has swindled Santosh Tiwari, a resident of Simi Bhanjyang-8, Lamjung,  of his motorcycle and cash,  Police Inspector Bhojraj Pandey informed. Gurung had borrowed the motorcycle and Rs 100,000 from Tiwari for few hours. Tiwari lent him the two-wheeler and cash believing Gurung to be an army man since Gurung had discussed about the military provisions with Tiwari's father. But, Gurung made off with the motorcycle and cash, Tiwari complained with police later. Police have circularised description of the alleged swindler to nab him. They later sent the victim Tiwari to Kaski after they traced that fraud Gurung was in Kaski, informed Pandey. According to Durga Bahadur Thapa, Major of Ramban Brigade,  there is no any army staffer with the name Kamal Gurung in the whole brigade.
