PHIDIM: As many as 14 jailbirds of Panchthar Prison were transferred to another prison on Tuesday for their involvement in a clash. Of the 14 jailbirds, 11 were transferred to Jhumka Prison and three to Ilam Prison on Tuesday. As many as six jailbirds, including a prison guard, were injured in a clash that occurred in prison cell no 2 on Monday. Prison Chief Srijana Luitel said the jailbirds were transferred to other prisons to avoid any untoward incident in the future. Doni Magar, Dhan Kumari Bhandari and Dipak Tamang were sent to Ilam Prison. Similarly, Dipak Rai, Dal Bahadur Gurung, Shanta Bir Angdembey, Chandra Bishwokarma, Dinesh Chaudhari, Prem Jung Kerung, Prem Lawati, Hari Lawati, Surendra Basnet, Salin Thamsohang and Bijaya Shrestha were sent to Jhumka Prison.
