Curfew lifted in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ: The Local Administration Office has lifted a curfew order imposed in Birgunj on Tuesday. The curfew order was lifted from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm today. The District Administration Office, Parsa said that the curfew was relaxed to allow locals to buy essential goods. The district has been suffering from the curfew imposed for the past 23 days. Meanwhile, normal life in Birgunj has been adversely affected due to an indefinite bandh enforced jointly by the Madhesi parties for 39 days. The curfew will be resumed from 10: 00 pm. UPDATE: Bandh enforcers are seen staging protests and burning tyres in different places like Aadeshnagar, Ghantaghar and Mulin of Birgunj.
