BHOJPUR: A flight has been added to Bhojpur-Kathmandu route by the flight operator as the air passengers have increased significantly in the run-up to the Dashain festival in Bhojpur distirct. The ongoing protest in the Tarai region and subsequent fuel crisis also increased the number of aviation passengers. Vehicular movement along the Hile-Bhojpur Narad Mani Thulung Highway has been obstructed due to the fuel crisis. Nayaran Puri, Bhojpur branch head of the Nepal Airlines Corporation, said five flights to Kathmandu every week – one each from Sunday to Wednesday and another on Friday and two flights to Biratnagar every week - one each on Wednesday and Friday - will be operated from Bhojpur. Meanwhile, the only private flight operator in the district, Tara Airlines, has operated one flight a week to Bhojpur from Kathmandu on Thursday, informed Sita Rai, head of the Bhojpur Airport Station.
