KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested a dealer on charge of hoarding, and seized 22 cooking gas cylinders from New Baneshwor. Raj Kumar Bhatta, owner of the Raju and Daju Gas Store, had hidden the LPG cylinders, apparently to sell in blackmarket. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Nepal Police personnel deployed from New Baneshwor-based Metropolitan Police Circle, in co-ordination with FNCCI, raided Bhatta's rented room yesterday and seized the cylinders. Kathmandu witnesses an acute shortage of cooking gas due to disruption in supplies owing to the ongoing border blockade.
