Rights activists arrested, freed

KATHMANDU: Police on Friday arrested as many as 35 human rights activists, who were staging a sit-in, near the Indian embassy in Lazimpat. The sit-in was organised by Human Rights and Peace Society. Krishna Pahadi and Gangadhar Adhikari were among the rights activists arrested from Lazimpat. They were protesting against the blockade at Nepal-India border points. Police released them shortly.
