KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA-red) defeated National Sports Council 25-29, 25-29, 25-15 in the final of the Birthday Cup Inter-corporation Volleyball Tournament organised by the NEA to mark the 59th birthday of King Gyanendra. Earlier, in the third-place play-off, NEA (blue) came from one-set down to beat Agricultural Development Bank 17-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-13. — HNS

5 nominated for NSA

KATHMANDU: President of Nepal Shooting Association Kishor Bahadur Karki nominated five

members in the central committee. The nominated members include Diwas Bikram Shah and Om Bahadur Singh (vice presidents), Rana Bahadur Chand (general secretary), Dharani Shumsher Rana (treasurer), and Kabir Jung Rana (member). Others including president Karki, and nine members — Bishnu Bahadur Karki, Vivek Raj Dhungel, Manjeshree Rana, Prakash Nakarmi, Mahesh Bahadur Singh, Dipendra Upreti, Rajan Adhikari, Kamal Chhetri and Khageshwor KC were elected from the June 29 elections. — HNS
