BIRATNAGAR: CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel urged the Nepali Congress (NC) to join the incumbent government for the implementation of new Constitution. Speaking at a press conference organised by Press Chautari Morang chapter here this morning, he said that the current government would conduct the upcoming Parliamentary elections. Leader Pokharel went on to say that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s upcoming visit to China would be focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries. He further said that said that various agreements including a trade and transit treaty would be signed during the visit. 'The Prime Minister’s China visit should not be taken as a step against India,” Pokharel said. He also questioned the relevance of the agitations launched by the Madhesi Morcha and said that the movement should not destabilise the social harmony. On a separate context, leader Pokharel said that the 10-day-long Koshi-Mechi Tourism Promotion Campaign launched by the UML would contribute further to the promotion of country’s tourism sector.
