Dhading, August 19:

A group of Maoists have abducted of two staffers of the Small Farmers’ Cooperatives from the Tripureshwor VDC’s Khahare bazaar, north of district headquarters Dhadingbesi and their whereabouts are still unknown. Sharad Chandra Danai, manager of the cooperatives and a female staff Bhagwati Dharel were abducted after torching the rented office premise of the cooperatives located at the Tripureshwor Khahare at around 2:00 pm on Thursday, the locals said. The victims’ families have urged the human rights organisations, civic society, media persons and legal practitioners to find out the abductees after the villagers failed to locate them. The human rights organisations have condemned the incident in the cooperatives, which was launched a year ago. Different human rights organisations active in Dhading have urged the Maoists to immediately release the duo.
