7 hurt in Nawalparasi tiger attack

NAWALPARASI:  Seven people were injured in a tiger attack at Sitapur Kottadi of Madhyabindu Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi district on Sunday afternoon. The tiger had escaped from its den in Chitwan National Park and entered the village. The injured were working in a banana farm when the tiger attacked them. According to Hari Kumal, head constable of Kolhua Police Office,  locals Shukra Ram Gharti (55), Tek Bahadur Thanet (50) and  Diwakar Mahato (35); as well as Karna Bahadur Mahato (42), Buddha Bahadur Giri (55), Kebal Prasad Chaudhary (45) and Krishna Thapa Kshetri (31) Luslahari, Madhyabindu-4 had sustained injuries. All seven are undergoing treatment at the Madhyabindu Community Hospital, Danda.
