KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday impounded a fuel tanker and its driver from Kandaghari of Kathmandu for illegally transporting diesel. The tanker was apparently refilled at the Nepal Oil Corporation's Thankot depot, and was heading to Okhaldhunga with 12,000 litres diesel for Rawadolu Road Construction Project. Police said that the driver, whose name has been withheld, was nabbed while he was unloading 3,000 litres of diesel into drums today. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
